FAQs

  • My cash pay fee is $200 per 60-minute therapy session. I can offer a reduced rate depending on availability. All clients who are paying privately are welcome to request a superbill for potential "Out-Of Network" reimbursement from their insurance. Check with your insurance company to determine whether Out-Of-Network virtual therapy sessions are a covered benefit.

As of September 2026, I will no longer be accepting any health insurance as a form of payment for treatment.

  • Radically open-minded. Steady and consistent. Always responsive. Striving for attunement to each of my clients’ needs and considering the impacts of trauma, culture, identity, and neurodivergence. I am unwaveringly dedicated to meeting my clients exactly where they are at in their readiness for change. If you are looking for a “tough love” approach, that is not me. Finally, I am interested in the full picture of who you are; not just your OCD/eating disorder symptoms. Treatment focus will shift based on what is most important to you.

  • Great question! First off, it’s not easy to open up to a complete stranger, and the therapy process can take some time to feel like you’re seeing noticeable results. My hope is to create a transparent space for you to work toward your personal goals. If I feel as though I am not meeting your needs effectively, I will be open with you about this, and will actively work with you to find additional/alternative forms of treatment. Additionally, if you feel that we aren’t a good fit, I am connected with a wide variety of providers with whom I’ll be happy to connect you.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidence-based therapy approach that focuses on using mindfulness and acceptance strategies to target problematic behaviors that prevent you from reaching your values-based goals. It has been found to be particularly effective for anxiety, depression, OCD, and eating disorders. Visit this link for more info.

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is an evidence-based therapy approach to address the obsessive thoughts and compulsive behavior associated with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Visit this link for more info.

Rumination-Focused ERP (RF-ERP) is a treatment developed by Dr. Michael J. Greenberg that focuses on stopping rumination and reducing compulsive responses prior to/in combination with exposure work. Additionally, psychoanalytic concepts are incorporated to address underlying relational/emotional dynamics co-existing with OCD. Visit this link for more info.

While I find it important to utilize evidence-based approaches in my treatment, I also want our therapeutic relationship to feel authentic and genuine. I want to get to know you first and foremost, and am always open to feedback if you feel the approach we are taking is not working for you. I am not a “manualized treatment” kind of therapist, and I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in the healing process.
